Enterprise Application Development

Enterprise Application Development
Consisting of more than 50 information technology professionals, EAD produces and maintains a wide variety of computing systems, supporting a diverse set of technologies and business areas across the 4 campuses of the University of Minnesota.

If you are a current or former student, staff member or faculty, it's certain you interact with applications maintained by EAD. Here are just a few examples of the functions we support:

  • The entire lifecycle of student experience - from applying for admission, to registration and awarding financial aid, to applying for a degree and ordering transcripts (not to mention producing tuition bills!)
  • Research proposals, grants and sponsored projects undertaken by U of M researchers.
  • Hiring, promoting and paying employees across the U of M system.
  • Critical accounting and financial processes such as maintenance of the U of M's general ledger.
Important note: The University of Minnesota is currently implementing a new Enterprise Financials System, to be delivered in July 2008. A significant number of EAD staff are engaged on long-term assignments on this project, as shown in the accompanying organization chart. Staffing levels for EAD are subject to continued change as this critical project moves toward completion.

Welcome, and please take time to explore our organization and the applications we support.
